Kelley Jo Skelton, born on June 5, 1967, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, departed this world unexpectedly at home on December 22, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and an indomitable spirit that touched the lives of many.
As a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Kelley was known for her outgoing personality and the warmth she brought to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loving nature was especially evident in her relationships with her daughters, Amanda and Stephanie, whom she cherished as her proudest accomplishments. Kelley's belief in the importance of family resonated through her every action, as she nurtured and supported not only her children but all those she held dear.
Kelley is survived by her mother, Jackie Skelton, her father, Richard Skelton Sr., and her stepfather, David Paddock .She is also remembered fondly by her stepmother, Peggy Skelton, and her sister, Bobbi Morgan, as well as her brother, Richard Skelton Jr. Amandas loving husband Toby Middleton,and Stephanie's husband William Rice.Her loving companion, Kevin Hart, along with her extended family and a multitude of friends, will forever cherish the moments they shared with her.
Her heart brimmed with love for her grandchildren: Brittany Brown, Tyler Middleton, Trinal Robertson, William Rice, Wale' Rice, and Keh'lanie Rice. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she often delighted in sharing stories and laughter with them, creating lasting memories that they will carry with them for years to come.
Kelley's life was a vivid tapestry woven with joy and affection, and her compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Friends and family can take solace in the extraordinary impact she had on so many lives and the love she so freely gave. In remembrance of Kelley, may we each strive to embody the compassion and enthusiasm for life that she so effortlessly exemplified.
