Kay Frances Lauer

Ms. Kay Frances (Northrup) Lauer, age 75, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026. Kay was born July 2, 1951 to Earl and Viola (Knochel) Northrup. Kay was a gifted swimmer and diver that she competed in her youth, and was passionate about canoeing and kayaking. Kay is survived by her son, Joshua (Stephanie) Lauer of Missoula, MT; her daughter, Sara Lauer Sturr of N. Muskegon; her grandchildren, Jona Lauer, Dylan Sturr, and Brady Sturr; and her brothers, Earl (Denise) Northrup of Commerce, MI, John (Debbie) Northrup of Rochester, MI, her nephew and godson Zak Northrup, and Paul Northrup of Twin Lake, MI.  Kay was preceded in death by her parents.  Family and friends memorial to be determined at a later date.
