Karen Arvidson

Karen Arvidson, born Peterson on March 13, 1956, in Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after a long and brave battle with dementia. She was 69 years old at the time of her passing, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and joyous memories.

Karen was known for her welcoming nature and was a true embodiment of compassion. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will fondly remember her great sense of humor that could light up any room. Throughout her life, she cherished spending time with her family, particularly during the holidays, where celebrations were infused with love and laughter.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Arvidson, her sons, Travis and Chad Arvidson, and her siblings, Mark and Jack Peterson. Karen's cherished family also includes her nephews, Jordan and Justin Peterson, her niece, Marissa Peterson, and her sisters-in-law, Lori and Patty Peterson. Additionally, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Dave Arvidson, and her dear friends, Kly Lesinski and Sue Jennings.

Karen is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roger and Loretta Peterson, and her brother, Tom Peterson. Their memories will forever be intertwined with hers, forming a tapestry of love that will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew them.
