“Death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.”- Julius Ceasar. One of my dads
favorite quotes. My father, Joseph Warren Frazier, A loving husband, father, grandfather and
even great-grandfather passed away last Sunday April 6th, 2025. He was born in a small town
of Franklin, PA on February 25, 1941 and grew up with a fiery temper, strong sense of justice
and a stubborn will that would make even his deep Irish roots frustrated. As John Wayne said in
the Quiet Man “I have a fearful temper. You might as well know about it now instead
of findin' out about it later.” He had bright red hair and strong wit about him. His ability to
out smart and find the loop-hole in an argument or situation was a skill you either loved or hated
depending on what end of the conversation you were on. He always had a hug for his loved
ones whenever they needed it and would listen know matter how silly the topic. He was an
honored veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served for over 20+ years to his country.
He lived through crises, wars, ups and downs and remained a true patriot to the very end. From
radio, to TV, to walking on the moon and even cell phones. He lived through it all. He has seen
more of the world than anyone could ever imagine. He would often quote Shakespeare with me
growing up whenever I started to be as stubborn as he was. “My kingdom, my kingdom for a
horse” he would say. I think we would all trade any kingdom today to have you have back for
just one more hug. You taught us all the meaning of unconditional selfless love and
understanding. Your wife, Amber Frazier, your children, Amanda Eppinga, Nicole King, Jay
Cleveland, Antonia Williams and Katherine Riley live on with your memory strong in their hearts.
Your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember their one of a kind, huggable
Papa/Grandpa.
We will be having a small honors service for him on April 24th, 2025 at 11:00am at Fort Custer in Augusta,
MI. All are welcome to attend.
