Joseph Ronald Clements, age 58, of Pullman, MI, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Joseph was born in Michigan and lived in Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, and his home state throughout his life. He proudly served in the United States Army, worked as a nurse, and spent time working at Walmart. More than anything, Joseph was a servant of the Lord—a devoted preacher and minister whose faith guided every step of his life.
A man of many gifts, Joseph could sing, write songs and poetry, draw, and play nearly any musical instrument set in front of him. His creativity was matched only by his passion—especially for Indian artifacts and traditional lifestyles, which he explored with deep appreciation. He loved being in the kitchen- he actually spent time in San Francisco studying to become a licensed chef! That's where he learned to experiment and create his own recipes, bringing joy to others through food.
Joseph was a unique soul—some loved him, some didn’t, but no one ever forgot him. He left a lasting impression, the kind of presence that lingers even after someone is gone. To know Joseph was to know that no matter what, he’d always have your back—even from beyond the sky.
He is survived by his son Donald Edwards Jr. and wife Tabatha(MO), 3 step-sons from a previous marriage David, Christopher, and Kevin Goodrich (all 3 being from MO); sisters Rita M. Stark, Catherine O. Crawford (Freddy), Leandra S. Clements (MO), and Darla E. Jones (Steven, TN); brother James W. Clements (Evelene, TN); and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Surviving nieces and nephews include:
Jennifer N. Stark, Michelle R. Lyell (Kevin), Heather R. Crane (MO), Amanda K. Collier (Hunter, AL), Rose M. Carr, Brittany N. Carr, Ashley N. Moore (Charles), Laura Clements, Haylie Lane, James W. Clements Jr. (Felisha), Coltan D. Jones (TN), and Timothy D. Crawford (MO).
He is survived by a host of grandchildren, lots of great nieces and great nephews, as well as a few great great nieces and nephews.
He is also remembered with love by special friends and extended family: Janet Lacy, Carolyn Kazarian, Cody Clements, and Grace Neeley.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Sam W. and Martha S. Clements; his sister Monica A. Clements; brother Timothy P. Stark; Nephew Cody C. Melder; Granddaughter Alicia R. Edwards; and several beloved aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
