Joseph Kelly

On August 8th, 1956, Joseph Kelly was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Over the years, he found his way to Wayland, Michigan, and it is here he found his home. While in Wayland, he spent many hours working at Salvino’s, and in his spare time, he surrounded himself with friends, always making new ones. He never met a stranger on his party store hikes through town, and he was a repository of knowledge about college football, particularly his beloved Irishmen. Joey’s love for Notre Dame was best expressed by quoting any and every line from Rudy. Other movie loves were The Heat of the Night and the Law and Order seasons.

To all of those in Wayland who will miss seeing him in town, drink a cold beverage in celebration of a life well-lived with deliberate intention for small, daily celebrations
