John Sturgis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Sturgis, beloved

husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully and comfortably in

his home, from cancer, on December 4th, 2024, at the age of 68. Born in Flint, MI, he

was an amazingly optimistic man who always lit up the room. He was known for his

effortless and engaging conversation, positive personality, and unwavering

commitment to his friends and family.

In 2019, John retired and spent his time with beekeeping, shooting guns, hunting,

shing, traveling, camping, pyrotechnics, and his favorite, being with his cherished

family and friends.

Preceded John in joining the Lord include his mother & father, Richard and Margaret

Sturgis and his brother, Ron Sturgis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Nichole Rasmussen and her

husband, Nick Rasmussen, John Sturgis and Matthew Sturgis; and grandchildren,

Elizabeth Sturgis, Jacob Rasmussen, and Andrew Rasmussen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 13th at 2pm at Qua-Ke-Zik Sportsman's Club 8731

Riverside Dr, Saranac Michigan.
