John Kurt Dolan

John Kurt Dolan, 74, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Born May 10, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. John was born the son of John and Irene Dolan. He attended Cedar Springs High School and went on to honorably serve in the United States Army. He then embarked on many successful entrepreneurial endeavors throughout life.

John was happiest surrounded by family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest pride in life. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons James and Jason. In later years John found a love for cooking and shared that with his sister Judy. Whenever possible he liked to venture into his community and help with lawn mowing and clearing driveways of snow, making many neighborhood friends.

John is survived by his wife ShuZhen Dolan; children, Brenda Roggow, James(Lisa) Dolan, Jamie Russo, Jason(Madeline) Dolan, ZhenTian Wu; grandchildren Jesse(Madison), Travis, Sydney (Samuel) , Maria, Sage (Ryan), Joseph, William, Charley, Jacob, Hudson; great granddaughter, Nova; sister Judy; brother Scott (Linda), many nieces and nephews.

John was proceeded in death by his father, John Dolan, mother Irene Dolan, sister Terry Aungst, niece Robyn Bury and nephews Kurt Aungst and Kody Aungst

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 2216 18 mile rd. Kent city, MI. 49330

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 AM until time of service. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church.
