John C. Geluso Iii

October 3, 1956 — April 11, 2025

John C. Geluso III reunited with his mother and father in heaven on Friday, April 11, 2025. He was cherished by all who knew him and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he loved. Born in October of 1956, John's life was a testament to devotion and kindness. As a dedicated father and grandfather, he found immense joy in his family, always placing their happiness above all else.

John's warm smile and generous spirit could often be seen at St. Jude Catholic Church & School, where he worked diligently as Maintenance for 31 years. His colleagues and parishioners alike will remember his unwavering commitment and dedication to others around him.

Although John has passed on, his memories will live on through his family, daughter and son-in-law Courtney & Bryan, special friend and partner Kimberly Geluso, his beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Brianna, who were the light of his life. Son Patrick. His siblings, Walter, Paul, and Priscilla, along with numerous nieces and nephews. John held his friendship with Terry Cole in high regard.

John was an avid Detroit sports fan. From cheering the Lions, celebrating the last few amazing seasons to watching the Tigers run the bases at Comerica Park. John also loved watching motorsports and cheering for Ethan in his racecar at the local short track whenever he could. He enjoyed watching Brianna dance anywhere and everywhere. And although he wasn’t thrilled with the idea of having a cat, he and Charlotte became pals and snacking buddies.

In remembering John, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the deep connections that continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Memorial will be planned at a later date.

His great ability to make others smile and his own infectious smile will be forever missed.
