John Bazaire Jr.

John Everett Bazaire Jr., of Comstock Park, MI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 30, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on June 19, 1945, in Grand Rapids, MI.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Everett Bazaire Sr.; mother, Virginia Bazaire; and sister, Judy Windish. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving wife, Cynthia Bazaire; children, Kristy (James Flaherty) Bazaire, Mike (Terry) Bazaire, Alicia Bazaire; step-children, Brittany (Brian) Arraut, Emily (Cody Cook) Jenks, and Brayden (Ashley) Jenks; sister, Sue Merchant; grandchildren, Joey, Jessica, Alayah, Calvin, Lana, Behnett, Ava, and Aerabella; great-grandchildren, Vada and Everett; as well as his niece Terri and great-nephew Gage.

John was a proud graduate of Godwin High School, class of 1963, where he not only excelled academically but also shone on the football field. His passion and talent for the sport earned him a scholarship to Augustana College, where he furthered his education and continued to make his mark. John's professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. He celebrated 25 years as a top executive for Coca-Cola Co., where he was respected for his leadership and vision. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate the Sparta Pub, a beloved local establishment. John also found joy and fulfillment in long haul truck driving for PVT, where he spent 20 years traversing the country, meeting people from all walks of life, and collecting stories and rocks along the way. He loved golfing, bowling, camping, fishing and hunting with his best friend Jack.

We invite friends to greet the family on Friday, July 5th, 2024 from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday at 12 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 with luncheon to follow. All services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 582 Lamoreaux Dr. NW Comstock Park, MI 49321. Donations can be made to Faith Hospice at Faithhospicecare.org.
