Jody Tyrrell

Jody Lee Tyrrell was the poster child for his favorite saying, "If you're gunna be dumb, ya gotta be tough." I'm fairly certain he was born with a Craftsman wrench in his hand, but you'd have to ask his parents, Rae Ellen Dietz and Ron Tyrrell, to be sure. Jody was a jack of all trades - if you could dream it he could do it. It might be done with duct tape and zip ties - but you bet that thing worked. Jody’s life was a slew of tinkering and projects sprinkled with explicatives, gushing finger wounds that were "just a scratch," and yelling at whatever poor sucker got volun-told to hold the flashlight. Side note - there is no correct way to hold the flashlight - this is a myth designed to build character. Jody had an amazing mind and a big heart. He'd give the greasy shirt of his back to anyone that needed it. He went out of his way to do anything he could for his daughters, Victoria and Tianna Tyrrell and (former) Wife, Shawn. He loved his granddaughters, Ellieanna Jackson and Mikaela Martinez more than words could express. Jody walked away from his remaining projects on May 15, 2022. His surviving family members (including his brothers, Jeff Tyrrell and Ken Dietz Jr., sister Tammy Gebben and Step Dad Ken Dietz Sr.) deeply wish that he would have loved himself as much as we did. I'd like to think he's at peace now - wandering around a car show muttering about his distaste for Fords or possibly under a tree catching some bluegill.

Funeral Services will be held at Kentwood Christian Church (5841 Kalamazoo Ave SE Kentwood, Mi 49508) on Saturday May 21, 2022. Visitation will be starting at noon with the
service at 1 pm. There will be a light lunch served

There will also be an informal celebration of life after the services. This will be held at 5pm near the pond at the end of Hyacinth St SW Culterville, Mi 49548.
