Janet Esther Sanford

Janet Esther Sanford, 81, (1945-2026) passed into the rest of her Lord on the afternoon of August 10, 2026. 

Janet was an active member of the Wright Seventh Day Adventist church in Coopersville, MI, where she found great joy in leading song services. She had a lifelong love of singing and spent many years singing in a group called The Joy Bells. She also loved knitting and made many beautiful knits for her loved ones.

She was proceeded in death by her parents (Carl and Esther Soper) and her three siblings (Carla Butcher, Genie Philo, and Stephen Soper). 

She is survived by her children, Andy and Roselle of Kalamazoo, Scott of Muskegon, Rick and Reggie of Peoria, IL, Steve and Sarah of Linden, Mara and Fred Bergman of Grand Rapids, 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren with one more on the way. 

The memorial service will be held at the Wright SDA church in Coopersville on Sunday, September 20 at 1 pm.
