Janelle Faith Curry (Marshall), affectionately known as “Beanie,” of Fruitport, MI, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a short illness. She was the youngest of nine children born to Edwin and Faith (Truesdell) Marshall of Lowell, MI, who preceded her in death, as well as siblings Laurie Marshall, Geralyn Bryant, Gordon Marshall, Donnal Marshall, and Charles Marshall.

She loved antique shopping and going to garage sales. Hunting for morel mushrooms up north at a family cottage was a great passion as well. Always a character, you could pick her infectious laugh out of a large crowd the moment you heard it. Janelle loved her children and grandchildren deeply. She was known for never sugar-coating things with them and always ended visits with a warm hug and "I love you."

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her longtime partner, Nick Pouch of Fruitport; daughter, Channing Morris; son, Chase (Stacey) Gue of Caledonia; and stepchild, Brett Gue of Comstock Park. She is also survived by Nick’s children, Gene (Michelle) Pouch, Dan Pouch, and Erica Nieboer.

Surviving siblings include Jan Sampson of Lowell; Dale Marshall of Hurst, TX; and Margaret (Richard) Howey of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by half‑brother Bill (Perrie) Onan of Lowell; stepsister Renee Butterworth (Joe Zimmerman) of London, KY; and stepbrother Mark Butterworth (MaryEllen) of Palmdale, CA. Janelle is also survived by her sisters‑in‑law Marlene (wife of dec. Gordon) and Daina (wife of dec. Charles), and by brother‑in‑law Emmitt (husband of dec. Geralyn). Grandchildren include Faith Morris, Felicia Durling, Tyler Brackett, SA Nathan Gue, USN, Arianna Gue, Lanae Gue, Shelby and Lucas Oisten, Nicole, Alex, Daemon, Bretten, Braden, and Emmett Pouch; Kayla Campbell; Kelcie Bevans; and Jasmin and Julianna Weather. She is further survived by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews, her beloved fur babies Cookie, Oliver, and Ashburn; as well as stepmother, Barb Marshall of Lowell.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3354 S. Dangl Rd., Muskegon, MI. A family-held committal of her ashes will take place at a later date.
