James Ridlington (Jim) was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Jim was raised in Holland and graduated from West Ottawa High School. Jim married the love of his life, Susan, in 1985. They had two children that Jim loved and adored with every fiber of his being. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport College. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and loved ones, hunting, fishing, and camping. Also known for his love for Christ and the Gospel, Jim was never shy about sharing his salvation and giving his testimony. Jim welcomed anyone into his fellowship and sought to always offer everyone a chance to hear about Jesus, as well as a handing out a Gideons New Testament scripture.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Ridlington and Marian Mulder, his brother Kerry, and his parents-in-law Franklin and Audrey Wierda.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan, his children Andrew Ridlington, and Kimberly and Troy Francisco, two precious grandchildren Colton and Audrey, and his cat Murphy, as well as his siblings Kevin and Sharon Ridlington, Joel Ridlington, Melody Fedney, Don and Kim Mulder, in-laws Michael Wierda, Cal and Michelle Wierda, Paul and Cristy Wierda, Judith and Bert Block, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held in January 2026 at Central Wesleyan Chapel, Holland, Michigan.
