James Cunningham

James Leroy Cunningham, known affectionately as Jim to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 23, 2024, in Kalamazoo, MI. Born on July 23, 1963, in Lawton, MI, Jim's zest for life and rebellious spirit touched all who knew him.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Marie Martinez and Leroy Cunningham, and his first wife, Debra. He leaves behind a legacy with his family: Sisters Jill and Julie; his daughter, Jessica (Paul); Previous wife, Christina and their sons, Brandon (Halisha), Keith (Marisa), Robert; and his grandchildren, Keelie and Owen.

A man of many interests, Jim found joy in the companionship of his beloved dog, Taz, and the simple pleasure of engaging conversations with friends. Jim's life was a testament to the power of living authentically and embracing every moment with passion.
