Hayden James Carlson

Hayden James Carlson, age 21, of Grand Rapids, left this earth on Sunday August 9th, 2020. He was born on December 24th, 1998, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Hayden was a gift to the Carlson-Olson family. As a child, Hayden had an incredible sense of adventure and curiosity, frequently getting into mischief with his partner in crime and sister, Delaney. He looked up to his sister immensely, learning about life and creating a special bond to last a lifetime. His beaming smile and cunning wit followed him into teenage years, along with a growing love of dogs, books, music, and guitar equipment. Hayden’s musical intelligence shaped his life and friendships, jumping at every opportunity to play with friends new and old. A sense of humor as infectious as Hayden's is hard to come by, illuminating any room he entered with his bold and boisterous presence. His creative heart and carefree spirit held so much love for friends and the people closest to him. Hayden’s charming demeanor will be remembered always. Hayden is survived by his sister, Delaney Carlson; mother, Erin Olson; father, James Carlson; grandpa, Chuck Olson; aunt, Lindsay Olson, aunt, Carrie Carlson; grandparents, Terry Carlson and Sandra Opatik, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Linda Olson. A visitation will be held between 5pm and 7pm on Friday, September 18th at Grand Rapids Cremation Services at 3305 3 mile Rd, NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
