Gregory Scott Slagle age 44, born to Rodney and Nikki Slagle on
July 14, 1980, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, February 3,
2025.
A proud alumnus of Comstock Park, class of 1998, Greg worked in
the printing industry for over 20 years. He had a fond love of
baseball, golf, dirt bike riding, hunting, and fishing, as well as attending
his niece and nephew's school sports and activities. He always
looked forward to his upcoming fishing trips and annual summer
and fall trips to Canada, Drummond Island, and the Upper
Peninsula.
Greg is survived by his beloved parents Rodney Slagle of Sparta
and Nikki Slagle of Comstock Park; cherished sister Rachel Belka of
Rockford; niece Hannah, nephews Jakob, Justin, Chet; great niece
Naria; uncles, aunts, cousins; devoted friend Kim Harkness of
Rockford; extended family Cheryl Harkness, Andrea Wood (late
Mike Wood)and nephews Ty (Ava) and Trevor Wood.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents Dale and Rae
Slagle, aunt Susan Slagle; Nikolas and Lydia Klimovich;
Greg was sure to make an impact on each life that he came in
contact with. You could count on him entering a room always with
his contagious laugh and smile. He would often play pranks and
jokes on family and friends, along with giving the people he cared
for the most, silly and unique nicknames.
Greg was outgoing, spontaneous and lived his life to the fullest, he
was so full of adventure, ready to try the next thing, to go on that
next trip. He was fun-loving and always carried a positive attitude.
Greg will be so greatly missed by all that knew and loved him,
especially by his family.
Life truly will not be the same without him.
