Gloria Lynn Stroven, age 78, of Grant, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1948, in White Cloud, Michigan, to Forest and Susan Nelson.

Gloria was the second to youngest of ten children. She was preceded in death by her sisters Virginia, Audrey, Cecilia, and Donna, and her brothers Bob and Jack. She is survived by her sisters Betty Lewis and Dorothy Roehm, and her brother George Nelson.

Gloria lived a life marked by creativity, hospitality, and deep faith. She was the beloved wife of Dan Stroven, married on August 26, 1972 and a devoted mother to Abby Stroven and Mike (Bonnie) Stroven. Gloria was a proud and loving grandmother to Joshua, Zachary, Matthew (who preceded her in death), and Samantha, each of whom brought her immense joy.

An entrepreneur with a creative spirit, Gloria owned and operated Gloria’s Garden, where her love for flowers and design blessed countless weddings, celebrations, and special moments. She had a remarkable eye for detail and was known for her organization, creativity, and ability to make every event beautiful and meaningful. Gloria loved hosting gatherings, decorating spaces, and sewing quilts—each stitched with care and often given as gifts to those she loved.
