Gloria Neal

January 16, 1950 — October 21, 2025

Gloria Neal, a beloved member of her family, was born on January 16, 1950, and she journeyed through life with warmth and creativity until she passed away on October 21, 2025. God sent only his best angels to take her home to rest easy. You know her beautiful birth date, you know her date of peace. You will now have a glimpse of her dash in between. Gloria was a remarkable woman, known for her 30 years of dedicated work at Evart Products before retiring at the young age of 49. Her career was marked by an unwavering commitment and a strong work ethic, qualities which she instilled in those around her.

Gloria’s legacy is one woven through the countless memories she created for her family and friends. She possessed a remarkable talent for crocheting, producing an array of beautiful blankets that warmed both bodies and hearts. In her earlier years, she enjoyed attending weekly ceramics classes, where she crafted pieces infused with her unmistakable touch. Beyond her artistic talents, Gloria was a dedicated nurturer who spent endless hours canning to provide for her loved ones, a testament to her love for family.

An exceptional scratch cook and baker, Gloria poured her heart into the meals and treats she prepared. Her baked beans and potato salad became staples at family gatherings, beloved by all who had the privilege to taste them. Her desserts—a range of cheesecakes, pumpkin rolls, pies, and the cherished German sweet chocolate cake—will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends. Every birthday was a celebration wrapped in her love, as Gloria created each person's favorite dessert. She lovingly crafted goody trays filled with cookies, especially her famous sugar cookies, and candies for friends and family alike.

Not only did Gloria shine in her culinary endeavors, but she also had a deep passion for antiquing. Her discerning eye for vintage glass led her to sell many unique items on eBay, earning her a reputation as a knowledgeable resource for all things vintage. She graciously shared her extensive knowledge with those around her, passing on her love and appreciation for history.

Gloria cherished simple pleasures in life, whether it was camping amid nature, where the aroma of campfire coffee would bring joy, taking long drives, and visiting friends and family. She enjoyed going to the casino, making coffee runs, and traveling. She relished time spent with her loved ones, always making room in her busy schedule to attend grandchildren's school events and class trips, exemplifying her role as a caring grandmother who never missed a moment with her grandchildren.

At the heart of Gloria's life was her deep love for her husband, Bill Neal, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 57 years. Together, they built a family that encompasses their son, Eugene (Chris) Neal, and daughter, Tammy (Mike) Boerma. Gardens of laughter and love bloom through their grandchildren: Maverick, Derringer, Brandon, Ashley, Kallee, and Kaetlee. They also have seven great-grandchildren. Gloria also has adoptive sisters, Betty (Ken) Heim and Diane (Jerry) Edwards. She will be missed dearly by her dear friends Ann & Dan Decator and their children, and by her dear friend Linda Albright, along with many beautiful friends and family.

Gloria is predeceased by her mother-in-law, Mary Neal, brother-in-law, Carl Neal, her dear friend Donna, and her adoptive parents, Frank and Beatrice Bradford, as well as her stepdad, Justice Balzer, and her brother, Greg, and brother-in-law, Ken Heim. They will be there to welcome her in the afterlife, united once more.

Gloria touched the lives of many with her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, wise advice, and memories that will surely live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She passed on her advice: "Save for a rainy day".  As her family continues to share stories, recipes, and laughter, they will carry her spirit forward, reminding everyone of the light she brought into their lives. This is but a glimpse of the remarkable woman she was.
