Gerald William Trimble

Nov 14, 1947 — Nov 1, 2026

Gerald W. Trimble, age 78, or 25 if you asked him, passed away November 1st, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at his family home in Perry, Michigan.

He was born November 14th, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Norbert and Jean Trimble.

Jerry served his country in the US Army for 5 years during the Vietnam war in the 101st Airborne division, 173D brigade, receiving a purple heart for his service before being honorably discharged and returning home to Redford Michigan. Jerry cherished his family and his home he worked so hard to create. He found joy in working around the house, tending to his lawn, and most importantly spending time with his wife, his children, and his grandson, creating memories that would be treasured for generations to come. He had a passion for history, and science, more specifically space and military aircrafts like his favorite SR-71 blackbird. His legacy will live on through the love he shared, the memories he created, and the laughter and smiles he put on everyone's face.

He is survived by his wife Linda Trimble of Perry Michigan; two daughters Cyndi (Kevin) Towns of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Christy Trimble of Milan, Michigan; grandson Austin Smith of Grand Ledge, Michigan, along with many other family and friends who will greatly miss him.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 21st from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Perry VFW hall to get together and celebrate the years of laugher and joy he brought us all.
