Genevera “Jenny” Nawara (Wolf), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family on the fourth of September, 2024. Her departure at the age of 92, marks the end of a life lived with the utmost love and creativity.

Jenny was born in Byron Center, Michigan, in June of 1932, and was the cherished daughter to her late parents, Christian Wolf, Sr. and Caroline Wolf. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, and was the last surviving sibling of a large family. She joins her brothers, Edwin, Laurence, Walter, Isadore, Norman, Roger, Sylvester, and Christian, Jr., and her sisters, Dorothy, Viola, Redetha, and Rita in eternal rest. She is survived by her devoted and loving children, her son, Robert, and her daughter, Christine, as well as her adored grandchildren, Caitlin, Brooke, and Gavin, who will all miss her deeply. They, along with countless friends and extended family, will forever hold dear the memory of her vibrant spirit.

Jenny spent the majority of her professional career, alongside her husband, running the family business retailing appliances, televisions and stereo equipment at Nawara Brothers on Alpine Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was also an amazing seamstress, often found creating beautiful garments and intricate pieces that showcased her artistic talents. Her sewing was not just a display of skill but a tapestry of love that she shared with all that were fortunate enough to receive her handcrafted gifts.

Jenny found immense joy in traveling with family and friends, discovering new places and experiencing the world’s vast culture and beauty. She also enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and making new friends during the time she spent over the years at Sandy Pines.

The words that best describe Jenny are loving, creative, and kind. She was a source of inspiration and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. In every aspect of her life, she exemplified what it means to live with grace and to cherish every moment.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Jenny, a woman who taught us the value of a kind word, the importance of family, and the profound impact of a loving heart. Her journey on earth has ended, but the stories and memories she leaves behind will be forever told with smiles and gratitude. Jenny’s life is a beautiful reminder of the goodness that persists when we choose love, creativity, and kindness above all else.
