Gale McDonald
January 17, 1941 – July 30, 2026
Gale McDonald, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 17, 1941, to Clarence “Stormy” Rademaker, Gale lived a life defined by dignity, quiet strength, and deep pride in her family. She carried herself with an enduring class, greeting the world with a warm smile and a spirit that made everyone around her feel instantly loved, accepted, and valued. Her greatest legacy lives on through her children, whom she raised with strong values to be good, kind humans committed to serving others. She lived by simple, lasting truths, often reminding those closest to her that self-respect and pride in one's family are what truly matter - she always said “We may be poor, but we don’t have to be dirty”.
Gale found joy in life’s daily rhythms—tending to her rock gardens and taking daily outdoor walks. The final six years of her life were spent living in Ada, Michigan, with her son Aaron and Vanessa—a deeply meaningful chapter that brought their journey full circle, supporting one another through the most cherished years of her life.
Gale is survived by her four children and their families: Darby Marsh (Bob); Jeff Lee (Lisa); Aaron Lee (Vanessa); and Ben Lee (Beth); along with 7 grandchildren and 1 step-grandson, Jude. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence "Stormy" Rademaker.
In accordance with Gale’s wishes, no public service or funeral will be held. Her family will honor her memory in a private ceremony, scattering her ashes alongside Stormy, where they will peacefully rest together.
No contributions are requested. Instead, her family asks that you honor Gale’s memory by carrying forward her spirit—living with pride, offering a warm smile to those in need, and leaving every life you touch better than you found it.
