Frederick Coleman Willis Jr. 88, of Vicksburg, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2026. 

He was born on May 15, 1938 to Frederick Willis and Rubye Smith. He graduated Vicksburg High School in 1956. On June 8, 1957 he married the love of his life Linda Louise Hoover. They were married for almost 65 years. Together they settled in the country of Vicksburg where they raised their family together. He served his country in the navy and worked a lot of places. He worked at Upjohn in Portage and was a police officer of Vicksburg. Fred and Linda also owned and operated the Vicksburg Sports Shop. 

His lifetime passion was bear and deer hunting and fishing he loved the outdoors. He cherrished every opportunity to explore Canada's provinces bear hunting with family and friends. He loved the outdoors so much he started a business/hobby doing taxidermy and did it for over 40 years with many customers. Every week routinely he looked forward to his breakfasts with his friends and family. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife and son Frederick Willis III. Surviving children Michael (Dawn) Willis, Robby (April) Willis, and Michelle (Mike) Fruehauf. Grandchildren Mitchell, Michael Jr., Chelsea, Cassandra, Chris and Corey, Miranda, Joshua, Gabrel, Lily, Katelyn; great-grandchildren Baylee, Trista, Parker, Adalynn, Rob; great-great-grandson Kyryn. Also other family members and many dear friends. 

In accordance with Fred's wishes he has been cremated and no public services will be held at this time.
