Duane Kaleward

Duane Allen Kaleward left this earth on Sunday May 19th, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love shared with his wife of 56 years ,Shirley Ann Kaleward. Duane is preceded in death by his Father, Peter Kaleward ,and Mother, Ruth Kruithoff. He is survived by his brother, Morris Kaleward. Duane married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Russell on 10/5/1968, together they had nine children, 25 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Duane was a proud member of the US Navy, and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He worked for 32 years keeping the lights on in Michigan at Consumers Energy. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as someone who embraced life wholeheartedly. He stood by his principles and loved with all he had. He was quick to offer help to those in need. He cherished times hunting, fishing, and playing billiards with friends and family. He made sure his children lived by the motto: “Do Good, and Be Good”. He did his best to do the same.
