Doug made his living as a licensed contractor with "Fox Construction." He was an avid hunter and a long-time member of Thorny Acres Sportsman Club. Doug loved gardening, ensuring his garden had everything anyone could want, sharing its bounty with family and neighbors. A humble man with a wonderful heart, Doug cherished his family, always going above and beyond for them.

Doug is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Dan Fox and Christina Melvin; and his loyal pet Azzi. He also raised his nephew, Matthew Price, as his own, along with Alexis Price and their children, Marlene and Hendrik. He leaves behind grandchildren Deric and Kristin Fox, Aaron Fox, Jake and Elia Fox, Gracie Fox, Mike and Alicia Lott, CJ and Yolonda Lott, Hayden Fouts, and Larry Fouts. His great-grandchildren include Dakota, Brooklyn, Michael, Myah, Ashton, Jayce, Brynlee, Lincoln, Quinn, Frankie, Jack, Luca, and Niko. Doug is survived by his brothers Don (Sharon) Fox of California and Dave (Carrie) Fox of Elsie, MI, along with many nieces and nephews and best friends, Tom Cerny and Barb Miller.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Wanda Fox; parents-in-law Betty and Emery Price; brothers-in-law Harry Price and Gale Price; sisters-in-law Mary Taylor and Joy Fox; grandparents; and great-grandson Izach Lott.
