Donna Mitchner

Donna Norene Mitchner, beloved mother and grandmother, was born to Launce and Ollie Williams on February 13, 1960. At a young age, Donna accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior and spread God’s word wherever she went. Regularly advocating for those who were unable to advocate for themselves.

Upon relocating to Grand Rapids, MI in 1985, Donna worked as a bus driver for the Grand Rapids Public School district (GRPS). A dedicated and dependable woman, Donna retired from GRPS after 25 years of service.

Outside of Donna’s passion for her family, she enjoyed fashion and was an excellent cook. She loved trying new food, but her favorite was seafood. Donna was great with numbers and loved jewelry as well as elephants.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Williams, brothers, Wilson Walter Williams, Tommie Lee Williams, George John Williams and Ismail Abdullah (Launce Williams Jr.). She is survived by her sons Robert and Maurice, her grandsons, Maurice Jr., Anthony and Antaun, her father, Launce Williams Sr., her brothers, Jesse Adams (Robinne) Williams, Paul Anthony Williams, her sisters, Rosie Lee Greer, Sheron Denise (Mark) Cleghorn, Wanda Ann (Maurice) Yancy and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will never forget the love that Donna gave them.
