Diana Merritt

Diana (Westbrook) Merritt, age 71, of Pierson Michigan, fell into the embrace of Jesus on June 21st 2023.  She now can breathe freely and easily after her struggle with pulmonary sarcoidosis and her recent battle with brain cancer.   To everyone that knew her she was a fun loving, creative, incredible inspiration. Diana was a loving wife, mother, nana, great nana and friend.

Born in Grant, MI on January 3rd 1952 to Estel and Barbara (Holden) Westbrook. She graduated from Grant High School and went on to college where she  received a degree for Early Childhood Education.  Diana married Dennis Merritt on July 29, 1977.  Diana was a prayer warrior inside and out of church. She served on many missionary trips and touch so many lives with her loving compassionate spirt. She will be greatly missed by Dennis, their three children Michael Vandyke, Jason Merritt and Terilynn (Ryan) Riley and their grandchildren Alexis, Dustin, Ethan, Adanna, Adyson, Kennedy, Nolan, Emily and their great grandson Octavian. As well as her siblings Terry (Bonnie) Westbrook, Sally (Bob) Deems and Peggy Carver and her many nieces/nephews and all the others who she held close to her heart.  Diana was preceded in death by her parents Estel and Barbara and many other close relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held July 22nd from 2-5 at the Pierson Hall 190 Grand Street Pierson Mi 49339
