Devin Vannette

July 16, 1991 — April 16, 2024

In loving memory of Devin Robert Vannette, age 32, who passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 after a continuous battle

with complications from Type I Diabetes.

With an infectious smile that lit up a room, Devin was fun, friendly, and loved by all who

knew him. He loved fishing, shooting his guns at the range, and overall being outdoors - some of his fondest memories were at the family cottage. When Devin wasn’t socializing in relaxed atmospheres with his closest family and friends, you could find him gaming on his PS5. As a big brother, Devin loved teasing his sisters, calling them ugly, and as an uncle, he adored spending time with his nephews. His love for his girlfriend and her love for him helped keep his spirits high throughout the illness.

Though he is forever gone, Devin will always be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. Devin was preceded in death by his grandpa, David Vannette, grandma, Deb Moore, his father Eric Vannette, and his aunt, Becky Vannette. He is survived by his parents: Shonda & Chris Smith, siblings: Tabitha Vannette (Dwyane Howland) and Sydni Smith, nephews: De’Vion, Dimitri, and Dominic Howland, grandparents Darrell & Aileen Daniels, and Karen Vannette, aunts: Mandi (Scott) Fluharty and Amy (Brian) Deroo, uncles: Curt and David (Jean) Vannette, Marvin (Trisha), Brandon, Andrew, and Robert Daniels as well as his loving girlfriend, Alisha Berens, and many more close friends and family members.

Family will be hosting a celebration of life at Devin’s home on Saturday, April 27 starting at 1:00pm. To honor Devin, wear your flannel shirts and bring what you knew him best for...the art of cannabis
