Dennis Hiemstra

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the death of Dennis "Denny" Hiemstra who went to be with his Lord and savior on October 15, 2024 from a tragic accident.

He is proceeded in death by his Father Eugene and his in laws Jack and Nancy Clancy.

Denny's surviving family: Wife Deb (Clancy) and daughter Sami. His mother Collen, his brother Mark (Brenda) Hiemstra, Sister Cindy (Dave) Westra, Brother in law Pat (Jan) Clancy, Sister in laws Charli Douglas, Julie (Gary) Simons, Sue (Wesley) Kikumoto. Along with his many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Denny was very active in Horsemanship, automobiles and taking care of his family. Denny worked 40 years as a parts specialist at Duthler/Fox Ford automotive. He loved restoring vintage cars. He raced cars in the past, and loved showing horses with his daughter Sami.

He was an incredible loving husband, father and uncle. He always made time to help others. The loss of Denny is being felt by everyone who knew him.

The Celebration of Life is planned on October 27th from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Cobblestone Plaza and Banquet, 9818 Cherry Valley Ave, Caledonia, MI. Please bring a dish to pass and B.Y.O.D. (bring your own drinks). Bring a smile, hug and story's to share.
