Delores Ann Richmond, Lucas, passed away on July 30, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born on June 17, 1953, in Clarkston, Delores spent her life touching the hearts of all who knew her with resilience, kindness, and warmth. She departed this world with her beloved daughter and granddaughter at her side, embodying the love and dedication she demonstrated throughout her life.

Delores grew up in a close-knit family and held deeply to those bonds. She was the cherished daughter of Mary Woodard and Gene Lucas, both of whom preceded her in death. Delores valued her relationships with her siblings and was preceded in death by her brother Butch Lucas, and is survived by her loving sister, Deborah Allen, and brothers, John, Paul, Bob, and Bruce Lucas.

Family was at the very center of Delores's world. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Shannon Wiles and Crystal Pierce, along with her treasured son-in-law, Jim Wiles. Delores took immense pride and comfort in her grandchildren and those dear to her: Tiffany Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Trenton Pierce, Sophia Pierce ,Great Grand Children Arian Gonzales, Malakai Gonzales, Elijah Gonzales Step Grand Children Nicole Weidner, KC Williams, Kaylee Wiles, Kayla Wiles, and Dylan Wiles. Each held a unique and special place in her heart, benefitting deeply from her love and creativity.

In her professional life, Delores thrived as an entrepreneur and caregiver. She was a talented cosmetologist and successfully owned her own hair salons, delighting clients with her artistry and welcoming spirit. Later, Delores extended her caring nature by running an adult foster care home, where she dedicated herself to helping and supporting the ladies in her care. Her compassion and dedication earned her the lasting admiration and gratitude of all who worked with her or were under her roof.

Creativity was a defining characteristic of Delores's life. She loved coloring pictures for her family using gel pens, spending countless hours crafting unique color combinations that made every drawing a personalized gift. Her eye for color and her commitment to making others feel appreciated through small acts of thoughtfulness will be warmly remembered by those who received her art.

Delores also found great joy in simple pleasures—she loved visiting casinos and playing slot machines. The thrill and excitement of the game brought lightness to her days, and even in her final weeks, she found happiness in the familiar sounds and hopes of a winning.
