David Scott Roddy

Longtime Union Member and Construction Laborer, David Roddy, 60, of Battle Creek, passed away

on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Dave was a proud union member and worked for various local construction companies over

the years. In his younger years, Dave, and his “Rat Pack” brothers were lifeguards and/or beach bums on

the Goguac Lake beach. He was a loyal friend to many and maintained a lot of those close friendships

throughout his lifetime.

He was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan as well as for his beloved Detroit Lions & Tigers.

David was preceded in Death by his father, Bill Roddy; his mother, Joan Roddy; and his

brother, Jeff Roddy.

He is survived by his sister and longtime caregiver, Cynthia Roddy; brother, Kim (Carlina)

Roddy; Nephews, Steven Roddy & Christopher Roddy. He also leaves behind his best friend

and rescue dog Brittany. Please remember and honor Dave’s life by visiting, calling and checking in with your family

members often, being a true friend, rescuing a pet, and most of all, telling others that you love

them before it’s too late!

We are planning a “Celebration of Life” memorial gathering some time this summer to be

announced at a later date.
