David Cook

David was no ordinary person, and he would not have appreciated an ordinary obituary. Although it's important to note he spent most of his life in Lansing, more important to note is he never grew tired of repeating the same stories and cherished German chocolate cake. He also loved geraniums and fart jokes.

His keen attention to detail and absurd sense of humor were noteworthy. His passion for coffee and cigarettes was unmatched. 

He devoted his life to writing and would often reference the typewriter he used to hammer out his stories. The mere mention of writing via a computer was met with strong disdain... he would have recoiled at the thought of ChatGPT.

He dearly loved his family and friends, and will be missed by his daughter Casie Cook, his sister Richelle Guse, and their families. Wherever he is now, we hope he's listening to The Byrds on 11, drinking a strong cup of Folgers, and has a cat on his lap and a dog at his feet.
