David Lee Blodgett, lovingly known as dad, “the good Dave”, and Rudy, passed away peacefully in his home in Grant, Michigan, on August 3, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on September 6, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, David embarked on a remarkable journey through life, marked by resilience, kindness, some stubbornness, and an unwavering love for his family.

Throughout his life, David donned many hats, each reflecting a unique chapter of his story. However, the titles he cherished the most were those of Dad, Grandpa Green Beans, and Papa. His children, grandchildren, and great grand children were the light of his life, and he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to nurturing and supporting them. The warm embrace of a father and the laughter shared with his grandchildren as he delighted in his role as Grandpa Green Beans will remain etched in their hearts forever.

David's journey included a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure, a struggle he faced with grace and determination. Despite the challenges, he remained a source of strength and inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, humor, and love will continue to resonate in the stories shared, the memories cherished, and the lives touched by his kindness.

To honor his wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, allowing family and friends to gather and reflect on the precious moments they shared with a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

David Lee Blodgett leaves behind the beautiful legacy of a devoted family man whose presence will be missed but whose memory will live on in the hearts of many. His journey may have come to an end, but the impact he made and the love he shared will forever shine brightly in the lives he touched.
