On February 2, 2021, Daniel Clifton Dalton of Fennville, Michigan passed away unexpectedly. Dan was born in Kokomo Indiana, on September 21, 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue O’Kane, father, Dean Dalton, brother-in-law, Harold Hicks, Aunt Dodie and his beloved chocolate lab, Daisy. He is survived by his wife, Deb Dalton of Fennville and their six children, Madison and Mackenzie of Fennville, Ajay of Chicago, Dylan of Portage, Felisha of Pullman, Philup of Zeeland, and their families. Additionally, he is survived by “Papa” Doug of Allegan, Step-Mom Patty Dalton of Tennessee, Mother-in-Law Juanita Wellever and her husband Dave, seven brothers and sisters and their families: David of Allegan, Deana of Fennville, Stephanie and Jeremy of Holland, and Jamie, Amanda, and JJ of Tennessee, two brothers-in-law Jim and Doug and their families, many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandkids and extended family. Dan was a 1979 Fennville High School graduate, where he was a football and basketball Blackhawk athlete. After graduation, he went to work for Haworth, Inc. in Holland, MI and retired from there 28 years later. It was at Haworth that he met his wife of 22 years. After retirement, Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known by his friends and family as the “fix-it” man and always willing to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed following the Blackhawk athletic career of Shawn Olund, a close family friend. Dan was an active member of the Fennville United Methodist Church. Dan exhibited a strong dedication to Jesus Christ through his actions and deeds. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Fennville United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 20, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fennville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 407, Fennville, MI, 49408.
