Cynthia Louise Roddy 64, of Battle Creek, Michigan received her Heavenly Wings on September 3, 2026 after a brief but courageous cancer battle.
Cindy was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek, growing up in the Fremont school area and graduating from BCCH in 1980. Cindy was an accomplished Tennis and Volleyball player winning multiple trophies and awards. Her involvement in team sports allowed her to create many lifelong friendships with fellow players.
Cindy worked for many years at Ralston Cereals. After that she managed and worked for various Party Stores in the Battle Creek area.
While not having any biological children of her own, Cindy had a host of kids that she considered hers and showered them all with unconditional love, adventures, trips and her own special dose of discipline and mentoring. Most of these kids are now grown and some have children of their own, but they still lovingly refer to her as “Aunt Cindy”
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Joan Roddy; brothers, Jeff & David Roddy; Special nephew, Steven Roddy and many loved fur babies throughout the years. Cindy is survived by her brother, Kim Roddy; nephew, Christopher Roddy; great nieces, Harper Grace & Sophie Roddy. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Smokey Joe Roddy. Cindy will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she had, too many to begin to name here. You each know who you are and the Love she had for each one of you.
Cindy was a kind hearted soul and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She always put others needs above her own and would do and share anything she had with anyone in need. She leaves behind a legacy of LOVE, CARE and FRIENDSHIP.
Fly high with the angels sister, you earned and deserve your Heavenly Wings.
A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will take place on Saturday September 26, 2026 at the PNA Club in Battle Creek from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
