Clara DeJong

Clara Ann (Kaman) DeJong, age 90, of Comstock Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at home, on June 8, 2026. She was born September 9, 1935, in Wright Township, Michigan, to the late Edward Sr. and Mary (Knauf) Kaman. 

Clara married the love of her life, Philip Duane DeJong, on March 2, 1957. Together they raised a family, traveled West for many winters, played golf, and bowled. In Clara's later years she enjoyed doing puzzles and above all else she loved spending time with her family. She certainly leaves behind a family legacy.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 years, Philip; her children who were her pride and joy:  Cindy, Angela, Karen, Mark, and Laura; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service for immediate family was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Comstock Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Interim Hospice for their help and care throughout this difficult time. She is now at peace and will be dearly missed
