Celebrating the Life of Carole Ann Olson Fisk Bruursema Eyer of Rockford, MI.

Carole was a radiant soul who lived every day as a gift, and passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, following a courageous, short battle with cancer. While her time with us was cut short, the light she left behind remains undimmed in the hearts of those she touched.

A Life of Faith and Joy

Carole’s life was defined by two things: her infectious positive attitude and her unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A dedicated member of her church (Crossroads Wesleyan) Carole didn't just attend services; she lived her faith through action, kindness, and an open heart. She saw the beauty in everyone she met, and her presence was often described as a "joy." No matter the circumstance, Carole chose joy, and that choice inspired everyone around her.

An avid lover of life’s simple pleasures, Carole spent years enjoying the competitive spirit of softball, gardening, various types of music, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She found a special kind of peace in the wilderness, most notably during her cherished trips to the Upper Peninsula. Whether she was taking in the rugged beauty of the UP or enjoying the sunshine on a ball field, she felt most at home in the world God created. She spent her career at Rowe AMI making jukeboxes and bill changers for 38 years before retiring in 2004.

In recent years, Carole found a new rhythm at the Roaring 20s Dance Barn. She became a staple on the dance floor, twirling and laughing with a community of friends who became like family. Those nights of music and movement were among her happiest, showcasing her boundless energy and zest for living.

A Legacy of Love

Above all else, Carole was a woman who loved her family and friends fiercely. She was the cornerstone the glue of her family, providing endless support, laughter, and wisdom. Her love extended to her loyal companion, her dog Zolton, who was a constant source of joy in her life and was never far from her side.

She is survived by:

• Her Children: Randy Fisk, Laurie (Terry) Quillan and special “adopted” children Mike (Michelle) Paul.

• Her Grandchildren: Anthony Fisk, Crystal and Jeffrey Quillan, Aubrey and Colton Fisk, and Cannon Paul.

• Her Great Grandchildren: Axavier Vanderkooi and Olive Quillan.

• Her Best Friend: Althea Fikema, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

Carole’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and a reminder to dance even when the music gets quiet. She has returned home to her Creator, likely finding the grandest dance floor in heaven.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16
