Bruce Wayne Misiewicz, aged 69, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at his hometown, succumbing to complications from COVID and lung cancer. Born on January 12, 1956, to Richard and Ruth Misiewicz, Bruce was a cherished member of the Grand Rapids community, known for his kindness, resilience, and dedication to enhancing the lives of others. Bruce graduated from Central High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and discovered his passion for helping people. He carried this passion into his professional life as a prosthetist, committing his career to helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life through innovative prosthetics and dedicated rehabilitation. In his personal life, Bruce was a man of many interests. He found peace and contentment in the simple pleasures of life, such as taking leisurely walks and capturing the beauty of nature through his photography. An avid outdoorsman, Bruce enjoyed fishing and hunting, embracing the serenity of the wilderness. He was also a fervent supporter of the Detroit Lions and found excitement and joy in racing dirt bikes, a hobby that reflected his adventurous spirit. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth Misiewicz, his brother Alan Misiewicz, and his sister Donna Misiewicz. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving family, including his sons Dylan Misiewicz, Christopher Haight, Nathan Deman, and Tyler Deman. His legacy will continue through his grandson, Waylon DeMille, who brought immense joy to his later years. His sister, Laura Lutker, and brother-in-law, Bill Lutker, will remember his warmth and generosity, as will his nieces Katie and Rebecca Lutker and nephew Matthew Lutker. Bruce's life was a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit. He often found solace in the words of Winston Churchill: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."
