Brooklyn Rayne Botello, born November 29, 2005, was a vibrant and beloved young woman who tragically passed away at the age of 18 on August 23, 2024. Her untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and peers.


Brooke was a radiant soul who possessed a unique ability to light up any room with her infectious laughter and warm smile. She had a remarkable knack for connecting with people from all walks of life and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit made her a fierce friend and cherished family member.


A free spirit at heart, Brooke lived life to the fullest and saw the world in a fresh and inspiring way. She embraced adventure, enjoyed new experiences, and marched to the beat of her own drum. Her wild and carefree nature inspired those around her to embrace their individuality with immutable enthusiasm. She was a passionate individual who had a bright future ahead of her. A loyal friend and a loving daughter, Brooke was always there to lend a listening ear, offer a helping hand, or simply share a laugh. Her generosity and kindness knew no bounds, and she was always willing to go out of her way to make others happy.


Although her life was horrendously cut short, Brooklyn's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Her memory will serve as a constant reminder of the importance of making every moment count and the power of human connection.


Brooklyn has been reunited in eternity with her brother, Hunter Michel McColley, Grandfather Martin Dale Botello, Great-Grandparents James Allen Scott, Virginia Esther Scott, and Carol Faith Fraiser. She is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Mother Amy Sue (Royce) McColley, Father Gilbert Ray Botello and Step-Father Michel R. McColley. Great-Grandfather Ronald John Frasier. Grandparents Kevin Charles and Deborah Sue Royce, Barbra Ann Cardenas Botello, and Bobbi Jean McColley. Siblings Seth Dane McColley, Madison Raelynn Botello, Austin James Botello, Kaleb Bryson Botello, Emanuel Jett Botello, Zoey Queen Botello and Alexander Martin Botello. Aunts Kali Nicole Royce, Rose Ann May McColley, and Stephanie Marie Cunningham. Uncles Richard David McColley, Gabe Botello, and Julian Martin Botello. Cousins Rylee Nicole Bassler, Lennox J. Schleh, Malachi William Hepler, Luna Violet Prentice, Dylan Botello, Christian Botello, JJ Botello, Jordan Botello, Scarlett Botello, Kira Botello, Ava Botello, Lilianna May Reyher, Angelina Marie Reyher, Brianna Rose Reyher, Harmony Rose Botello, and Eliana Ray Botello. She will also be fondly remembered by her many extended Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her.


Brooklyn will forever be remembered as a bright light that touched the lives of many. Her flame may have been blown out too soon, but her memory will continue to shine brightly. She will be deeply missed.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 06, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at Douglas Walker Park in Byron Center, Mi. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Hope Association (Grand Rapids, MI) in Brooklyn Botello's honor.
