Barbara Taylor

Barbara Ann Taylor of Clare and formally Mt. Pleasant, passed away on November 22, 2025. Barbara was born in Mt. Pleasant on Apr 6,1939 to Ralph and Ismerie (Ball) Freer. 

Barbara was independent and stubborn by nature, living on her own and driving until the last several weeks of her life. She spent her final weeks living with her daughter Michelle and enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren.  During the final years of her life, Barbara kept busy working at a local resale shop and would play bingo at least once a week.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as much as possible during these years. Barbara was known for her good sense of humor and her quick wit. You always knew where you stood with her! 

Barbara is survived by her seven children: Sue Riley, Joann Brickner, Scott (Maya) Brickner, David (Julie) Brickner, Brian (Geraldine) Brickner, Michelle (Steven) Taylor, Michael Taylor and one brother Steve (Debbie) Galgoczi. Barbara also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Mike Taylor, both of her parents, her stepfather Steven Galgoczi, two sisters: Connie (Freer) Lirones and Janis (Galgozci) Knowlton, brother Allan Ralph Freer and two grandsons Jeremy Brickner and Stephan Taylor.
