Austin Micheal Lons, aged 35, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on June 30, 2025. Born on August 19, 1989, in Marshall, Austin was a dedicated individual known for his hardworking nature and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He possessed a remarkable ability to make friends effortlessly, bringing joy and laughter to those around him with his awesome sense of humor and his love for practical jokes.
Austin was a proud graduate of Marshall High School, a place where he cultivated lifelong friendships and memories. His passion for building and fixing things led him to excel in carpentry and auto mechanics, achievements that he regarded with pride. In addition to these skills, Austin enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing and hunting, as well as participating in Demolition Derbies, where he earned several awards for his remarkable prowess.
He is survived by his fiancée, Meagan Cooley; his sons, Hunter and Cooper Lons; his mother, Joanna Lons; his brothers, Bobby, Thomas, and Christopher Lons; his grandmother, Lavonne Moreno; his uncle, Donald Moreno; and his beloved fat terrier mix, Tucker. These family members will forever cherish the memories and moments spent with Austin.
Austin was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Gross; his grandmother, Rosemary Gross; his uncle, Douglas Gross; as well as his great grandfather and great grandmother, Leland and Georgia Lons. Their loving memories will forever be a part of his legacy.
A celebration of Austin’s life will be held at Ketchum Park in Marshall, MI, on July 19th, starting at 12 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering this remarkable man. Austin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
