Arlene Kay Bouwman, age 75, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 7,2026. She had diligently fought cancer of the pancreas for 15 months. In those 15 months, she and Steve grew very closed and leaned on the Lord together. 

She was born to Russell and Carolyn Brown on May 19,1951 in Grand Rapids MI. She graduated from South Christian High School. She and Steve married on June 28,1974. Arlene worked at local businesses as a bookkeeper and in payroll. She enjoyed being a Mary Kay consultant and knitting.

Steve and Arlene raised their children attending church, going to the lake, fishing, swimming and hosting Bocci ball tournaments. They spent a lot of time enjoying sports. They enjoyed playing Scrabble, watching Wheel of Fortune, thrifting and traveling. One year they took the entire family to Disney World!

She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and by Steve and Arlene’s daughter Sara. She is survived by Steve, their sons Keith (Breanna), Randy (Pam), and nine grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Thomas, Meghan, Kyle, Will, Rachel, Henry and Veronica, and her brother Douglas Brown.

On Saturday, September 12 at Buck Creek Community Church in Wyoming, there will be visitation from 10am-11am and a memorial service at 11:30 with lunch to follow.
