Obituary

Andrew Thomas Ohmer, 33, of Holland, Michigan was welcomed into the arms of the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday April 11th, 2026.

Andrew was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois and was the oldest of three boys. He was involved in all youth sports and the Neuqua Valley High School tennis team. While in high school, Drew traveled to Germany with his grandfather to explore his love for learning about different cultures, politics, history and music.

Andrew graduated college from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a BS degree in Economics and a minor in German. He is a proud member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest academic society in the United States. He was a passionate supporter of Badger football and basketball, the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals.

While most recently living in Holland, Michigan, Andrew worked as an IT Analyst at MillerKnoll. Drew loved staying active with pickleball, cycling and cooking. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and found community in the Celebrate Recovery and Freedom Fighters church groups in Holland.

Andrew is survived by his maternal grandfather, David Murray of Sterling, Illinois, his parents, Thomas and Heather Ohmer of Holland, Michigan and his younger brothers, Jeffrey and Jack of Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Evelyn Jeanine Ohmer and his maternal grandmother, Helen Murray.

A celebration of Andrew's life will be held at Central Wesleyan Church in Holland, Michigan on Thursday, June 4 at 11am EST. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the memorial fund established in his honor at Central Wesleyan Church - 446 W 40th St, Holland, MI 49423.
