Amy Lynn Gerard, 54, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 3, 1972, in Lansing Michigan to Jean and the late Glen Gerard, Amy lived a radiant, full and beautiful life that touched many people. She battled through tough times but kept her faith through many challenges.


Amy was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt whose warmth and presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She shared her life with her husband, Ryan King, and was deeply devoted to her family and friends.


A proud Purdue University graduate and Boilermaker to the core, Amy poured her passion and positivity into her endeavors. She found joy and peace on the waters of Lake Leelanau, where many cherished memories were made. Amy's warm spirit extended beyond her family and friends – she was involved in the community through her work, engaging with Inforum and Exalta Health, organizations that reflected her values and commitment to others.


Amy is survived by her husband, Ryan King; her mother, Jean Gerard; her sister, Kelly Joseph (Jason) and her nephew and niece, Alex and Emily Joseph. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Gerard, and her beloved son, Parker Hall.
Amy will be remembered for her strong personality, kind heart, quiet strength, and the love she freely gave to those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ada Bible Church – Knapp Campus, located at 3869 Knapp St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
