Allen James "Jim" Derby, Age 69, of Cedar Springs, MI was Born January 9, 1955 in Muskegon, MI Passed away February 17, 2024 in Grand Rapids, MI

He loved old western movies, old time country music, cook-outs, fishing, and singing. He had a great singing voice and enjoyed karaoke. One of his favorite foods was macaroni and cheese.

Preceded in death by his father, Hiram Carl Derby, his mother, Ruth Derby, his sisters, Edith Vincent, Hazel Noah, Colleen Derby, and brother Joe Derby.

Survived by his sister, Pauline Strickfaden, daughters, Lisa Conklin, Julie Mendez, Becky Hernandez, son Kenneth (Scotty) Conklin, several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service (weather permitting) on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 4pm. Held at Operator’s Village Day Park at Hardy Dam. 36th St., Newaygo, Mi 49337 There will be a cook-out to follow the service.
