Allen Dean Buxton

Allen Dean Buxton, born on July 15, 1943, in Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully in Lansing on July 19, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose life was marked by commitment, love, and an unwavering work ethic.

Al dedicated his entire career to carpentry, a craft he embraced with passion and precision. His hands built more than just structures; they created homes filled with warmth and love. Friends and family will always remember the thoughtful details he imbued in his work, reflecting his character and dedication.

Al proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966, where he achieved the rank of Corporal. His commitment to service exemplified his strong values and willingness to protect and serve his country.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Buxton, who stood by his side throughout their life together. Al was the proud father of son Jeff Buxton, and daughters Jennifer Pettit, Melissa Miller, and Debbie Buxton. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren: Chris, Jared, Amanda, Jordan, Andrew, Shianne, and Nathan, along with eight great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy. Al is also survived by his brother, Terry Buxton, and sister, Jude Rice.

His family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a Funeral Service on July 25, 2025, at the Bath American Legion in Bath Township, MI. The service will commence at 1:00 PM, with prayers and remembrances shared in honor of a man whose impact was profound and whose memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

Allen Dean Buxton will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will remain a guiding force in the lives of all who knew him. His love for his family and his dedication to his craft are legacies that will endure for generations to come.
