Adam Vanalstine

Adam VanAlstine, 37, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on August 20th, 2021. Adam was born November 17th, 1983 and was raised in Big Rapids. Those who knew Adam, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Adam will be missed everyday by his parents, David and Kelley VanAlstine, siblings Sarah (Kenny) Fuller, Josh (Siobhan) VanAlstine, Micah (Cody) Patterson, nephews Ethan, Logan,Chase, and Ryder Fuller, nieces Kennadi Fuller and Quinn VanAlstine, grandfather, Ralph (Joann) Harris, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Adam graduated from Big Rapids High School in 2001 and then moved to Grand Rapids to attend Grand Valley State University. He continued to reside there while working as a mechanical engineer. Adam loved riding bicycles with friends, spending time outdoors, traveling, cooking, music, festivals, all things mechanical, and most of all, spending time with his family. The family would like to invite you to join us in celebrating Adam’s life Thursday, September 9th at Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Big Rapids. Please join us anytime from 11-2 pm with a brief tribute starting at 12pm.
