Born February 21, 1977, much of Adam's childhood in Grand Rapids and Rockford was spent outdoors, riding bikes and exploring the woods and completely ignoring the action in his t-ball and soccer games to examine the neat bugs in the grass. He loved camping trips such as backpacking in the Porcupine Mountains and canoeing in the Boundary Waters.

The best summer ever was when Adam's dad gave him an old washing machine to strip down to its tiniest component parts.  His curiosity and delight in tinkering turned into a hobby of building computers and a business refurbishing and reselling medical equipment.

Photography was Adam's art.  He took pictures of family and friends, sunsets, wilderness, a few boudoir shoots, and, of course, the elephants that really truly lived in the field down the road for a summer.

Adam's greatest passion was cooking.  He loved experimenting with a wide variety of recipes: baking breads, curing meats, stuffing sausage, and smoking brisket, turning homemade marinara sauce into fresh lasagna, and preparing an exquisite peanut butter mousse pie with Oreo crust and chocolate ganache top for Christmas dessert.  He played with cheeses and oils and a vast collection of spices, sampled all the cuisines, lamented the closing of Van Ball's butcher shop, and waxed lyrical about one very specific variety of cherry.

Adam Michael went home to rest with his Lord on the morning of August 21, 2026, aged 49.  He is mourned by his parents, Linda Seeger and Mike and Kathy Freeman; his sisters Vicki (Tim) MacMurdo, Julie Ruscitti, Rachel Seeger, and Sara (Khari) Seeger; his nieces Heather, Feben, Tegan, and Amara and his nephew Aaron; a wide array of family and friends, and his beloved cats.

His life will be celebrated with a picnic on Friday, August 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 at Caledonia Community Green Park.
