Thomas Gould

March 2, 1960 — July 7, 2024

Thomas John Gould Sr., known affectionately as Tom or Tommy to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, at the age of 64 in Muskegon, MI. Born on March 2, 1960, in Grand Haven, MI, Tom was a man whose warmth and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Tom's life was characterized by his dedication to his family, his hard work, and his passion for life's simple joys. A skilled welder and pile driver by trade, Tom was not only respected for his professionalism but also for the camaraderie and leadership he brought to every project and team he was part of. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his dedication and loyalty to his family and friends.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Tom will fondly remember his love for roller skating—a hobby that brought him immense happiness and vitality. It was a pastime he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Tom's love extended beyond his hobbies as he relished every moment spent with his grandkids, instilling in them the values of joy, patience, and kindness.

Tom leaves behind a loving and vibrant family. He is survived by his fiancée, Candy Parsons, who was his partner in both love and adventure. His legacy continues through his son Thomas and wife Jessica Gould, as well as his bonus children Amy and husband Johnny, Tonya and husband Hugo, Gary, and Felisha and husband Adam. Tom was the proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.

He also leaves behind his mother, Isabelle Nuismer. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Roger and wife Sue Gould, Mark Gould, Guy and wife Melinda Gould, Chris Gould and girlfriend LeighAnn, Dana and husband Kurt Anthony, Brad Gould, Jennifer Gould, and Brenda Gould. His very large extended family will miss his presence at family gatherings.

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Katie Gould, whose memory he held close to his heart. His father, Thomas F. Gould, step-mother Dolly Gould, step-father Jelmer "Bub" Nuismer and sister-in-law Judy Gould. He is now reunited with them in eternal rest.

As we bid farewell to Tom, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with him and the love he gave so freely. His memory will be a guiding light to all who knew him, and his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in celebrating Tom's life, as we hold close the memories that each of us carry, and find comfort in the knowledge that he lived fully and loved deeply. Rest in peace, Tom; your journey has been a beacon of light that will continue to shine forever in our hearts.
