Sherrie Chapin

Sharon “Sherrie” Kay Chapin, 78, of Belding, MI passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 under the loving care of her family. Sherrie was born in Lakeview, MI on May 30, 1943 to LeRoy “Roy” and Luella (Engebretsen) Secoy. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1961. She was lucky to have a lifelong best friend in her sister, Sheila. Sherrie worked for Frigidaire/Electrolux for many years until her retirement. In addition to caring for her cats and dogs, she enjoyed playing computer games, shooting pool, showing off her classic car at local car shows and drinking copious amounts of Coca-Cola. Sherrie is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Jimmy. She will be dearly missed by her children, Tracy, Kami (Joey), and Erin (Aron); her grandchildren, Brandon, Talar, Evan and Farrah; her sister, Sheila; her nephews, Randy (Frances) and Mike; her step-mother, Eileen; her step-sister, Brenda; and the rest of her family and friends. A private celebration of life is being planned by the family and will be held at a later date.
